Is there any benefit to adding hydrogen peroxide to drinking water?

I saw a documentary which said that some doctors are advising their put-surgical patients to add hydrogen peroxide to their drinking water to speed up the healing activity. They say that the patients who do this actually do recover faster than the ones who don't.
