How can I measure rate of decomposition of H2O2 when catalase is present?
by shannonigan | Posted in Biology
In all of the important school experiments I have seen, the rate of decomposition of H2O2 is measured by the amount of O2 that is produced. Is it achievable to instead try and gauge how much water is produced in a given all together frame?
well you could ..but positively a very easy way to measure the O2 released is place a 10mL gas-tight sealed syringe through a rubber plug and after adding the catalase source to a flask..add known amount of H2O2.

Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) Decomposition
I wasted about 40ml of Hydrogen peroxide for this. I bought 100ml for $6.90 It's kinda up-market O_O The splinter burns very brightly. It ...

Activated carbon cloth: a potential adsorbing/oxidizing catalyst ...
A survey on the use of activated carbon material (ACC) as a potential adsorbent and / or catalyst for the oxidation process is reported. The scope of the proliferation reduction in oxidation-adsorption of phenol, as a stable import-carbon nature reserve (%), due to everything that has examined the effects of oxidants such as ozone and hydrogen peroxide on activated carbon material. The results also show that acidic pH promotes the catalytic decomposition of H2O2 to hydroxyl radicals, increased OCD withdrawing ...
