My ear has been plugged for 3 weeks!?

I have been on the web and seen other posts and have tried most of the suggestions aside from the cigar and the ear candle.
This started with a wicked cold which went into my left ear. I went to the ER and got antibiotics for an ear infection but the ear stayed plugged.
That echo for all practical purposes that you are noticing can be as a result of a condition called tinnitus (ringing in the ear).

Hairdresser's chemicals "exploded like a bomb" (From Bournemouth Echo)
A teenage hairdresser killed in a “catastrophic eruption” as she drove may have died after chemicals in her accoutrements bag formed a fatal cocktail.
Now the grieving old man of 19-year-old Jennie Mitchell – himself a Dorset fire fighter with 24 years occurrence – is urging hairdressers to show abnormal caution when carrying hydrogen peroxide.
