How does hydrogen peroxide work in cleaners?

I am doing a chemistry think up on Woolite Oxy Deep. One of the active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. I know that hydrogen peroxide decomposes into oxygen gas and branch water, and that the oxygen does the cleaner.

hydrogen peroxide will come apart down into hydroxy radials under light before it decomposes into water and oxygen. These radials are reactive and will spasm the dirty breaking the dirt down.

Deadly painkiller alert

THOUSANDS of Tasmanians who are consistent users of a potentially harmful painkiller have been urged to discuss alternatives with their GPs.

A move to ban the anodyne was overturned yesterday after an appeal from manufacturers.

The painkiller, which has led to a handful of late deaths, is available on prescription despite being banned from Tasmanian celebrated hospitals.

The painkiller, Dextropropoxyphene, is sold as Capadex, Di-Gesic, Doloxene and Train. Last year the drug was removed from Tasmanian public hospitals after lobbying by peculiar anaesthetists.

It was supposed to be phased out completely by March, but the Therapeutic Goods Administering yesterday issued a stay of execution for two brands while it considered a producer's appeal.

There are about 150,000 regular users of the drugs in Australia, including as many as 4000 in Tasmania.

The medicament has been prescribed for post-surgery pain and for chronic pain, such as downgrade back aches.
