Is it harmful to bleach your teeth by rinsing with peroxide?

I be aware its harmful if you leave the peroxide on your teeth too long but if you make convinced you get it all off after a few secs is it still harmful?

I've rinsed my access with hydrogen peroxide to get them whiter, if that is what you're trying to do. Nobody has told me that it is harmful.
