In which of the following reactions does hydrogen peroxide act as a reducing substitute?

a. PbS is converted to PbSO4
b. Iodine ion is converted to I2
c. Permanganate is converted to Mn2+
d.

Moral look at the reaction occuring. If H2O2 is acting as a reducing envoy, a reduction must be occuring.
a. is clearly oxidation (-2 -----> +6)
b. is also oxidation (-1 -----> 0)
d. is oxidation (+2 -----> +3)

c.

Molecular culprit behind rise of oxygen on Earth identified

Washington, Jan 11 (ANI): Researchers have identified an enzyme that fitting was a key contributor to the unprecedented appearance and dramatic rise of molecular oxygen on Dirt around 2.4 billion years ago.

“There is a consensus from earth scientists that about 2.4 billion years ago there was a big annul in oxygen on Earth,” said University of Illinois crop sciences and Institute for Genomic Biology professor Gustavo Caetano-Anolles who led the new study.

They commonly agree that this rise in oxygen, called the Great Oxygenation Experience, was tied to the emergence of photosynthetic organisms.

“But the problem now comes with the following mistrust. Oxygen is toxic, so why would a living organism generate oxygen? Something must have triggered this,” he eminent.

Caetano-Anolles and his colleagues looked for answers in the “molecular fossils” that still reside in living cells. They analysed protein folds in exactly a thousand organisms representing every domain of life to assemble a timeline of protein r.
