Hydrogen reacts with oxygen to produce water...?

by It's Me | Posted in Chemistry

Hydrogen reacts with oxygen to offer water. Use the following chemical equation below to find : 2H2 + O2 -----> 2H2O

a. The edition of moles of oxygen needed to completely react with 10 moles of hydrogen.
b.

a. 2 moles H2 needs 1 mole O2, so 10 moles H2 needs 5 moles O2. this is because the mole ratios are never-ending using the formula.

b. likewise, 10 moles H2 put out 10 moles H2O, since 2 moles H2 produce 2 moles H2O.

HyperSolar to develop carbon free renewable hydrogen gas

HyperSolar, a developer of a technology to create renewable hydrogen and natural gas using water and solar power, is planning to lay open a cleaner and greener way to produce carbon free, renewable hydrogen gas to power vehicles.

The establishment said that it will develop the carbon free hydrogen using the power of the Sun and wastewater, rather than the using the normal fossil fuel, such as natural gas, as a feedstock.

HyperSolar CEO Tim Young said the universe is short on free hydrogen and unfortunately, to make up for this shortage, the world uses fossil fuels to extrude hydrogen gas.

"We are developing a cleaner and greener way to produce this high value goods," Young said.

"HyperSolar's hydrogen is completely carbon accessible, made by using the power of the Sun and wastewater. Not only are we mitigating the high cost of wastewater treatment, but we are creating the farthest clean fuel."

The company said that the hydrogen can be used for nutriment cells for transportation, which convert the chemical energy from a fuel into vibrations through a chemical reaction with oxygen or another oxidizing agent by using hydrogen as the most common incite.

Sulfide, everything about it. Any of three classes of chemical compounds containing the factor sulfur. The three classes of sulfides allow for inorganic sulfides, native sulfides (sometimes called thioethers), and phosphine sulfides. Inorganic sulfides are ionic compounds containing the negatively charged sulfide ion, S2−; these compounds may be regarded as salts of the very miserable [...

Methanol: Biofuel to love or hate? : Biofuels Digest - biofuels ...

Biofuels developments typically comprise “two, four or more” carbon approaches (ethanol, biobutanol, or longer string hydrocarbons in the gasoline or diesel spread). Though against in biodiesel manufacture or as an intervening in other biofuel forming processes, the one-carbon methanol is not commonly targeted as a biofuel.

Methanol has its haters, and its animated fans. Who’s right-minded?

A up to date stanchion by biofuels developer and commentator Robert Rapier — in his R-Squared Dynamism blog — re-ignited the think over last week. ” I incontrovertible to author a register an stab at notably ardent to methanol,” he writes.

“I was uniquely motivated to jot this because of hypocrites who declare to be all about renewable dynamism and weaning the U.S. off of remote oil – which explains their frenetic succour for corn ethanol – and then when the discussion turns to methanol they start to bad jaws it. When talking about methanol, hypocrites will talk you that “it is toxic.” But these people have never raised that subject over effectively toxic denatured ethanol. They speculate that peerless costs will be low for cellulosic ethanol but great for methanol. They gripe about the drop dynamism density of methanol, but cut back up ethanol and they will spill the beans you all about the possibilities of conspiring engines to pay for ethanol’s crop dynamism density germane to gasoline. Yet they don’t call any prospect of optimizing engines for methanol. It unqualifiedly has less vigour. End of detective story.”
